Howdy, friends and neighbors. What a great concert! Thanks to all the dedicated fans who showed up at the Coalesce Bookstore and Garden Wedding Chapel on Saturday. There’s no doubt that was some of the best pickin’, singing and laughing that I’ve experienced in quite a while. Thanks to all the willling audience participants who made is such a special night.

Also, thanks to all who bought the new limited edition CD of the band’s latest original bluegrass music “Cannonball Run.” For those who haven’t yet purchased a copy, a limited run of 100 pre-release CDs is now available to help raise funds for a major CD release event. The album features a great cast of musicians including many of those who helped on the debut album “Runaway Train.” On the new album, “Cannonball Run,” you’ll hear mandolin string wizard Tom Corbett’s superbly clean and laid-back mandolin pickin’, high harmony vocals from the beautiful Mahala Fortner, smooth dobro from instrumentalist Bill Flores, rock solid bass from newest band member Tom Lee and of course great singing and banjo pickin’ from Chris Cairns. In addition, you’ll hear some spectacular guest artists including Gabe Witcher on fiddle, David West on harmony vocals and lead guitar and a special “old-school” country track entitled “One Lonely Candle” featuring Bob Nichols on drums and Doobie Brother John McFee on pedal steel.
